The Ice Arena Skate School has a variety of skating courses for all levels and ages, from Tiny Tots to the youth and adults programs.
Our experienced coaches work to the nationally recognised learn to skate program Aussie Skate and provide assessment for every student at the end of term.
No matter your skill level we can help you on your pathway to skating for fun, figure skating or playing ice hockey.
COME & TRY a lesson
This is a class for those who are not sure if they want to commit to a course.
The Ice Arena offers regular Come & Try classes on Saturdays throughout the school term.
Enrolments are open all year. Check the booking page for the next available session.
Bookings are essential as these classes are popular for beginners.

Ages 5+ are welcome to attend Come & Try classes.

BOOK INTO CLASSES
If you have had some experience or you are serious about your skating the Skate School courses are the best path for you.
The courses follow the Aussie Skate curriculum, and provide pathways into sports of figure skating and ice hockey. The courses are structured in progressive modules 1- 10 and then into specialised figure skating or ice hockey classes.
The Skate School offers three options for enrolment Tiny Tots (3-5 yrs) Youth (6 – 17yrs) & Adults (18 +)
There are two requirements before joining Skate School
- You have been skating before
- You can stand and hold your own balance on the ice without holding onto anything
Before committing to a whole term of Skate School we recommend that you try skating first on a “Come & Try” class
WHEN
TINY TOTS CLASSES – Wednesday 5 – 5.30 or Saturday 10 – 10.30)
YOUTH CLASSES – Wednesday 5.45 or
Saturday 11.30 – 12.30 – 1&2,3&4
11.00 – 12.00 – 5&6, 7&8, 9&10
10.00 – 11.00 – All Free skate Levels
ADULT CLASSES – Monday 6.30 – 7.30pm

10 x FREE Public Skating passes to practice on your own between lessons*
COST $375
* Please note the free Public Skate passes are an added bonus and not included in the cost of the course.
* The skate school does not offer “Make Up Classes” for missed classes or “Refunds”.

Skate School courses run in 10 week terms in line with school terms.
